If you enjoy cycling bring your bike with you ( secure lock up at the cottage) or if you prefer hire one locally. Cycle the 14 mile route (mainly traffic free) known as the Mineral Tramway from Portreath to Devoran. The trail is steeped in history, closely following the tramways and railway routes once used to transport ore and vital supplies from the tin and copper mines to the ports of Portreath and Devoran.
