Whilst staying at Lavender Cottage you are ideally situated to discover the mining heritage of the area.  Tehidy Country Park is only a couple of miles from Camborne and Redruth which, in bygone times were the industrial and financial hubs of the mining industry. Relics of this industry can be seen scattered around this location and if you travel further west great mines such as Geevor, Lelant and Botallack can be visited and explored. You can even experience what it is like to work underground.
